Holiday - The last day
Okay, they always say that wonderful things have to end some day. And you know what? They are right. All good things have to come to an end and so my holiday ends today. Tomorrow I'll go home again.
So let's have some last photos under the cut
A move came to say good bye

I managed to take a photo of the bridge's ornaments

The look across the old harbour. These three houses were storage houses for food until 1884.

The flower seller at the Friday market

The brother of the guy from yesterday

And of course the sheep with their lambs

And one I think is very funny

That was it for this year, we'll drive home early in the morning when there isn't so much traffic on the streets. See you all around

I love the houses and the landscape. Great photos!

Thank you very much. The houses are great, aren't they? They are very old (some are from the 18th century) and they are all very well looked after.

Thankyou for sharing them.

Thank you very much for liking the photos. I do love sheep too, they are very cuddly. And I love your icon.
The trip home was good, we had no traffic jams over 300 kilometers. That's good.

Thank you very much and I'm happy you enjoyed the snaps. Yes, the holiday was great and since we had no rain in these two weeks I'm more than confident. :-)

What a nice place! Glad you have had such a lovely holiday!

Oh yes, it really is a nice place. It is very peaceful there and it was wonderful to sit at the old harbor and watch over the water.
Thank you.

Yes, it was a wonderful and peaceful holiday, but coming home was nice too. I like my home. :-)
My next holiday is in September with my sister one week in London. Our father gave it tomus as a Christmas present in 2019. And this year we are finally able to go.

These are all so lovely! They made me feel nostalgic all of a sudden — we used to spend each family summer holiday on Eiderstedt on the German North Sea coast, and by the looks of it I'm guessing this is somewhere close by. I'm glad you had a nice holdiay!

Thank you for taking a look. It's nice to read you remember a nice time on the German North Sea coast from times past. Hooksiel is 350 kilometers to the west of Eiderstedt.
Yes, the holiday was really nice. We discovered some nice places there.
Are you from Germany?

That sounds (and looks) like a lovely place!
I live in Austria and grew up here, though my parents are from the US. When I had asthma as a kid and the doctors recommended ocean air, our friends in Wiesbaden found us a place to stay on Eiderstedt, and we ended up going back every summer for several years. We made friends with a local farmer and stayed in a small caravan — I loved doing all the farm stuff (working with the sheep in particular).
I went back a few years ago and found that I still really love the area. It's so peaceful, and I love the ocean and the wind and the wide open space. (I don't do well in the heat, so summer holidays further south wouldn't work for me.)
I'm really glad you had a nice holiday!
