The second day of my two weeks holiday started with domestic stuff like doing my laundry and watering my flowers on the windowsill. And then we drove to our garden. We really wanted to relax, but instead, we started harvesting our potatoes.

But only from half of the field.

But the result looks good and I can't wait to taste them.

Unwashed

Washed and put out to dry.

Some flowers under the cut

And we planted a rosemary.

Our leek is in full bloom so we can't eat it this year but we will get some seeds for the next.

Oh, and the bumblebees love our wild oregano (sorry it is so blurry).

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed the day in my garden.

That must have been so annoying for you! I know it takes time to post photos etc. I just wanted to say that I've been getting a bit fed up with the extreme heat but the sight of all your lovely flowers made me feel better about summer again! I've never even seen most of your beautiful flowers let alone know what they are and the colours and shapes really are gorgeous. (Is that a type of fuschia in the hanging pot? Can't spell it...) And those potatoes.... I have a *lot* of respect for people who can produce such fine looking vegetables!

Thanks for this post. Much enjoyed.

It's a hanging begonia. Another version is the yellow one. Then we have the white lily's and the hydrangea, that's the pink one. The big blue ons is a bluebell and we have a big anemone.

At the moment it's not so hot here, we had that great amount of rain and the nights are rather cool.

Thanks for looking and I'm happy you enjoyed the visit tomy garden. :-)

So many potatoes! And how great that you're growing some of your own food, though the flowers are lovely, too. And I do so love your hydrangeas.

What a wonderful garden you have created. Pretty flowers, but I'm drawn to all those lovely potatoes spread out to dry. When I could buy them, I'd get the smaller ones, boil them in their skins, then have them with butter on them. Yum! I do love potatoes in all ways, mashed, baked, also chips. *bg*

Thank you for liking my flowers. And I harvested the same amount of potatoes yesterday. Now we have enough for..... let's say a month or a month and a half.

After the winter it seemed as if the hydrangeas were all dead, but in the last three weeks they exploded. :-)

Thank you very much. Yes, the smell of the lily was really sweet and heavy. But very nice too.

Thank you very much. Yes, the potatoes taste so great. We make Papas Arugadas with the smaller ones. We boil them in their skins in salted water and when they finished they have to dry a little, so that they have salted skin. And like you said some butter or Aioli on them. That's so yummy.

What a lovely post! A wonderful garden you have! Nothing like growing one's own food, the smell and taste of zero-miles produce, grown organically, can't even be compared to store-bought food. I love potatoes too, in all the different manners one can cook them!
And the lovely flowers and herbs! I didn't know leek flowers were so beautiful!
Enjoy your holiday! P x

Thank you very much. Yes, the smell and taste of self-grown food are wonderful and unique. We don't use any artificial fertiliser so so the harvest result is always a surprise for us.

I either didn't know that leek flowers are so beautiful. And well-loved by bees and bumblebees.

And thank you, I had a wonderful relaxing holiday.
