A few weeks ago I've got a new 2TB harddrive for my pc, because my father thought I might need it when I want to play more often with our lads. And now I found a new program which allows me to break the episodes into single pictures. I think the qualitiy of the pictures is quite good, what do you think? Here are some from the first three episodes. These are the pure results, I didn't change anything.

Oh, very nice! Kudos to your father :-)

What is this software that you speak of? *g*

Yeah, it was very, very nice of him. :-)

I use this one Free Video to JPG Converter from DVD-Video-Soft. But I don't know if it works with blu-rays.

Maybe this one will work with blu-ray, it should be in english too. freemake But I must admit I used one of the programs from this side once and I didn't like it much. I like Free Video to JPG Converter from DVD-Video-Soft more.

I think the quality's very good, especially as outside shots are often more difficult to get right which is strange as the light should be better. outside. The faces are a good, accurate shade too, not too red which is what I often find in my blu ray screen caps..

Thank you for your opinion.

I tried it with another software first and there I had many shadows in the outside pictures. The faces looked as if the lads had mud in the face, but only at some parts. So I'm glad to hear that the new screen caps are some that usefull.

And now I'm going to collect the screen caps for the BB 2018!

I agree, the quality is excellent! And without any fuss too.
Did you try to enlarge it? For the BB art it's nice to have it as big as possible.

Very nice pictures! :-)

Thank you!
At the moment I' m only catching the frames. I'll try to enlarge them in a second step when I know which I will keep. Maybe I enlarge onla the pictures I actually need and use for the BB.

Oh well done! I have myself experimented in the past with a few screen-capture programs, and not all of them were satisfactory. I did like the one that came with my old Sony Vaio laptop several years ago, I think it was called WinDVD and its screen-capture function was very good, in that it managed to create high resolution jpg files off the DVD I was playing. In recent times I've used VLC to play DVDs on another laptop, but I haven't checked if it has a capture function. Thanks for your tip on your software: I'll check it out!
Of course, it helps that the DVD quality is good to start with! Well done :)
