Holiday in Hooksiel - Part five - Castle museum Jever part one

Yesterday we went to Jever and visited the castle museum. It's a nice little castle with much interior.

I really like this Jever castle, and I have to remember it when I'm around there!
The clothes are as beautiful as the furniture. And the car of course! :-)
And I think you love the fans, don't you?

Yes, you certainly should remember to visit it. It's worth it. Yes, you are allowed to take photos, but only without flash. There are very old leather wallpapers aand pictures and even the clothes are so old that the flash could harm them.

And you're right, I loved the fans. One was ivory with silk and glass and it was from 1535. And it looks great for its age. :-)

Outside the castle there were peacocks and the had a child. It looked like it's mother, only in small. But this pictures are taken with another camera, so I can't show them at the moment.

What a lovely old place. I love the old furniture, especially the dining set. But the fans and clothing are amazing.

It's really a nice place and it was so great to see the love with which they present the old things. The old furnitures are all in the original coloures. And outside the room with the dining set they told you how they used it. And that only the rich people had some of the things.

The view up the tower is my favourite, in fact - mysterious, and it makes a beautiful composition with all those different curves of light and dark. Brilliant photograph!

Thank you very much. It struck me to make the photo when I was on my way down again, because I thought nobody'll believe you that it was so dark on the way up the tower. I'm glad you like it and you feel the mysterious aura.

Yes, that was heavy. But I didn't get dizzy because I took my time and didn't run.
