I think the use of Sharpened and DeNoise moade him look very... soft. Or am I wrong?

I concur that this pic is lovely, whatever the version! But if I had to choose, I'd pick #2. On my screen, to my eyes, it just adds the details I want to see. The veins on his arm and hand, for example...
Those jeans should be in a museum - preserved for posterity. And for "anterity" especially!
