I would love to invite you into my garden again. Since we have wonderful weather, where else should I be?

After sealing the roof of our toilet extension with liqiud bitumen yesterday

we planted some cabbage turnip and peas and pak choi.

And today I can relax and enjoy the day. A day with flowers and sun under the cut.

Our Elderbush is in full bloom.

My father's solar fountain in our little pond

And of course the flowers

The Columbine

The Peony

The Iris

Don't know the name

The Rhododendron

The yellow Snapdragon (it's 10 years old)

The double colour Snapdragon (it's eight years old)

Yellow Poppy

Allium

Our potatoes are growing nicely

And there will be many currants this year, in black, red and white.

That's it for today. I'm going to close my eyes now and enjoy the sun. I hope you felt comfortable and welcome in my garden and enjoyed it again.

Lovely pictures, as always! Snapdragons excellent!!
The one you don't know the name of looks like Ornithogalum — Star Of Bethlehem — to me.

Your garden looks absolutely beautiful and the (natural) colours looks very vivid e.g. I particularly love the Allium. You must work very hard to achieve such a wonderful show of flowers. I'm hopeless and struggling to grow a tiny Evergreen shrub bought from ALDI, I don't think it's going to grow and it's had a couple of months to try and get bigger. (Have you ever heard of crushed egg shells helping to promote growth? A friend mentioned that to me the other day and I'd never heard of it. She also mentioned using the water of boiled eggs, apparently it contains lots of minerals etc. Wondered if you'd ever come across this idea?)

Thank you for showing us your garden, it's always a pleasure to see and enjoy with you!

Oh, thank you very much. I'm so happy you like my garden. The Allium is great, isn't it? We planted it because it works against some bugs which try to eat our roses. These bugs don't like strong-smelling flowers, so we planted Lavender and Allium. And I love the colour of this Allium better than the white one.

Well, the Evergreen shrub needs time to grow. You could give him some fertilizer and if it's still in its pot you could pot it into a bigger one.

Yes, I heard about the crushed egg shells. You can use them for plants like Hydrangea, which needs calcareous soil. There are a lot of other plants too who like the egg shells, like peas, beans or carrots. Roses love the banana peel (but only when it isn't waxed.) If you boil your eggs without using salt it could work with the water. At least it doesn't hurt to use the water for watering your flowers.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and I'm happy you enjoyed your stay in my garden. :-)

Thank *you* for all those useful tips! And I'm really pleased the egg shells theory isn't an old wives' tale. It's good to know, too, that the evergreen does take a while to grow. I followed the instructions and planted it straight into the earth but the nights have been a bit cold for it. What you say about the banana peel is interesting, I only know it's good to use for smoothing/softening the hard skin on the heel of your feet (the inside of the banana peel), just rub it down a few times - I saw that on a TV doctor's programme and it actually works!

Many thanks again for your helpful response.

So lovely, but I bet it's a lot of work! I especially love your snapdragons. They've always impressed me as being happy. :-)

Thank you very much.
Yes, it is a lot of work, but it is a lot of fun too. And we have fresh biological vegetables and fruits when the harvesting time arrives.

You're right, snapdragons always seem to be happy flowers.
