Prosfic-Bingo - Alpha-fic Challenge Second Go - D

While waiting for some doctors to do their work I had a lot of time to kill. So I used it and read another long story for my Bingo Card.



D is for Double or Nothing by tiranog


It's the end of an op outside of London. Bodie heads of with the barmaid and Doyle went to their room. He gets hit on his head and the last thing he sees is a mirror image of himself.
The next day Bodie and the substitut Dolye drive back to London. And on their next assignment Doyle seduces Bodie and they become lovers. In the meantime the real Doyle gets interrogatet but after some days he can escape.

Bodie discoveres on a not to gentle way that there are two Doyles and that the Doyle he's fallen in love with isn't his partner. But what happens next you have to read by your own.

I think in a way it is a Bodie h/c story, even that the hurt isn't physical. Emotional pain can be so much stronger. But at the end the comfort is all the better.

I think that's not your age. She wrote under the name Rosemary at the CA. One of her stories is Catch a fallen star. So maybe, if you don't like that story you didn't read Double or Nothing either.

Ah OK, I had a feeling she also wrote under a different name. And you're right I didn't read Catch a Fallen Star, I started it but didn't finish it. (And thank you for saying it's not my age!).

You're very welcome. It is (at least in my eyes) a story that is worth a re-read.
