Since the weather is wonderful I spend the day in the garden. It is in full bloom.

Here's the cherry tree with a glimpse of the lilac

and the cherry blossoms in close-up.

The lilac which is behind the cherry tree. And it smells soooooo good.Too bad that you can't post the smell as well.

I think the violett tulipes could be the sort Bodie got as a present in Need To Know.

This is a bush calles snowball because his inflorescences look like snowballs. And they have a very intense smell too.

This is from our small lilac tree, the blossoms are darker.

Have a primrose as well. It's a very old one, we planted it in 2001 and now we have at least ten children with the same colour.

And I don't know this bush. It is a small one and the blossoms smell very intense of honey and are well loved by bees and bumble bees. So if anybody knows the botanic name (or the english name) please tell me.

Our guest the frog didn't allow us to take a picture, I think he's wanted for making to much noise on a quiet day. *g*

Lovely, lovely flowers! And with such a perfectly blue sky :)
I took some photos in one of Rome's botanical gardens last week (cherry blossoms and all...) and posted them on Instagram.
I love this season!

Sadly I'm not on Instagram, so I didn't see you pictures, but I'm sure the gardens there are nice too.
Yes, spring is a wonderful season with so much new and fresh colours.

Sheesh, my lilac are only barely starting to bud! Yours, on the other hand, are truly lovely, well, your entire garden is. I like the primrose, too.

Thank you very much. Our lilac is very early this year, but we have up to 27° so the flowers think it is summer. *g*

your final image, well i am almost certain is another type of lilac variety, lilac flowers come in different shades and the pink in the stems is what associates it to the lilac family,

You could be right, even that the smell is a bit different. But it could be of the lilac family in general. Thanks for looking.
