Moving shop
Aug. 17th, 2019 11:06 pmToday was the day one of my very good friends had to move his shop because the landlord wanted more than 80% more rent. So what did we do? We were two women and two men (one only for driving one of the cars because he is nearly 80 years old.) And we had to move more than 30 moving boxes full with stuff from his shop. Some were very light because they contained only pillows and mobile phone covers. But some were very heavy because they contained books and coal and such things.
And I felt like Bodie and Doyle in "In The Public Interest".

And even though I took a hot bath, I think tomorrow everything will hurt.

I mean it is better to have a tenant who pays less but rents the shop year after year, than to increase the rent and have no tenant after a year. So crazy. And sad for the people who want to sit in small cafes or buy their presents in little shops.
